QUESTION 1

WHO ARE WE ARE PORTS?

We Are Ports was set up in 2017 by supporters to unite Portadown FC fans and to drive the club forward to achieve higher standards.  At this time many Portadown fans believed there was a disconnection between the supporters and the club.  This disconnection, alongside issues that Portadown FC faced during the 2016/17 season, led to the creation of WE ARE PORTS.

We are not a Supporters Club and many of our members are already in other Portadown FC Supporters Clubs.  We are a collective body of Portadown FC fans that want to contribute towards the running of our club and strengthen its place in the community for the benefit of everyone.

Are aim is see Portadown FC become a key part of the community, for the benefit everyone.  

QUESTION 2

WHATS IN IT FOR ME?

By becoming a member, you are playing your part in building a sustainable and positive future for Portadown FC. You will also have a say on where/when your money is spent to allow us to achieve these objectives. 

​You will also receive exclusive members newsletters informing you of news from around the club and board meetings.  Members will also be able to attend various events organised by the committee, such as 'meet the manager', interviews with new and current players, social events etc. 

There are also benefits available when you sign up, such as discount on the end of season dinner.  We are continually looking at benefits for members, with any future benefits being decided by the members at the AGM.

QUESTION 3

WHO WILL REPRESENT ME AT BOARD MEETINGS?

​

When you sign up to WE ARE PORTS, you will be granted a vote at the AGM where you can vote on your representative that will have a seat on the Portadown FC Board.  You will also be able to put yourself forward as a candidate for this role as well.

Currently we have Jonny Dunlop in place as the WAP Representative at Board Meetings.  Jonny reports back to the members on matters arising and brings forward any ideas or feelings that the members want raised.

QUESTION 4

WHO ARE THE WE ARE PORTS COMMITTEE?

Including the WAP Board Representative, the committee is made up of 9 volunteers.  

When you sign up to WE ARE PORTS, you will be granted a vote at the AGM where you can vote on the 9 committee members who will carry out a range of roles over their 12 month term.  You will also be able to put yourself forward as a candidate to join the committee.

QUESTION 5

I ALREADY BUY A SEASON TICKET AND MERCHANDISE, ISN'T THIS ENOUGH?

 

Of course it is, and the club are very appreciative of every supporter and their contribution.  

 

WE ARE PORTS was set up by supporters who want to have a greater say on how their club is run and help secure its future on and off the pitch.

We know every supporter will have their differing opinions, but we also know that every supporter has the best intentions for Portadown FC at heart.  That is why we think getting the supporters together to form a collective group can only be a positive influence on how our club is shaped.

QUESTION 6

HOW DO I JOIN WE ARE PORTS?

We have tried to make it as simple as possible to sign up, simply fill in our registration form in the 'Join Page' then download the Standing Order form also on that page.

 

Once downloaded, fill it out as appropriate and take it to your bank to set up the monthly Standing Order.

Once that is done and the first payment has been made you will receive confirmation of your membership, along with your unique Membership Number.

If you wish to pay for 6 or 12 months membership in one payment, just get in touch and this can be arranged.
